FAQ

Why you cannot post the same content to multiple accounts on the same platform

AdaptlyPost prevents users from publishing identical content to multiple accounts on the same social media platform in order to protect everyone from losing API access.

Restrictions under platform Terms of Service

The majority of social media platforms do not allow the same content to be posted simultaneously to multiple accounts via their APIs. This applies to:

  • Multiple Instagram accounts
  • Multiple Facebook pages
  • Multiple accounts on any other platform

Breaching these Terms of Service could lead to API access being revoked for the entire AdaptlyPost user base.

Publishing identical content across multiple accounts can result in zero views and penalties imposed by the platform.

The importance of this safeguard

AdaptlyPost enforces this limitation to protect all of its users. Losing API access due to Terms of Service violations would impact all 9,000+ AdaptlyPost users.

How to reuse similar content across accounts

If you wish to share similar content across multiple Instagram accounts, you must generate distinct file fingerprints by:

  • Renaming the file
  • Altering portions of the file content
  • Re-exporting the file to produce new metadata

These modifications allow the platform to identify the content as unique instead of a duplicate.
