Instagram carousel post photo limit (10 photos maximum)

Instagram's API limits carousel posts to a maximum of 10 photos, regardless of the number you upload within AdaptlyPost.

AdaptlyPost allows more, but Instagram enforces the limit

Although AdaptlyPost permits you to upload up to 35 photos for a carousel post, Instagram's API restricts each carousel to a maximum of 10 photos. This means you can prepare additional content in AdaptlyPost, but only the first 10 images will appear on Instagram.

What occurs when more than 10 photos are uploaded

If you create a carousel post containing more than 10 images, only the first 10 will be published to Instagram. AdaptlyPost shows a warning during the post creation process to alert you to this restriction.

This is an Instagram-imposed limitation, not an AdaptlyPost restriction. We allow uploading additional photos to give you flexibility when preparing your content.
