How does AdaptlyPost track X analytics?

AdaptlyPost tracks X analytics by reading the counters X shows on each of your posts, for the X account you already connected to schedule posts. The analytics collector needs only that account's id, so X analytics asks for no extra permission and no X Premium subscription.

The first sync walks back through the last 180 days of your X timeline. Every post it finds in that window goes into the dashboard, including posts you wrote directly on X and never scheduled through AdaptlyPost. How often does the X data refresh?

AdaptlyPost refreshes X analytics once a day on its own. The Sync button in the dashboard header starts a manual refresh, which is available once every 10 minutes per workspace and re-reads the posts from the last 7 days.

X runs on a slower schedule than most networks in the dashboard. Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Bluesky refresh every 4 hours, TikTok and Pinterest every 6, YouTube every 12, and X every 24. A post that is a few hours old is still gathering views, so press Sync before you judge a fresh post.

What does the X analytics dashboard show?

The AdaptlyPost analytics dashboard shows X data in two tabs: Overview for totals and trends, and Posts for a row per post. The platform filter at the top narrows either tab to X alone, or leaves it on All platforms.

The Overview tab has four blocks:

1. Stat cards for views, likes, comments, shares, average views per post, engagement rate, followers and post count.
2. An Engagement Over Time chart with views, likes, comments and posts per day, week or month.
3. Top Performing Posts, your five strongest posts in the range, ranked by views, likes or engagement.

The Posts tab lists every post in the range, 25 at a time, sortable by any metric. Date ranges run from week to date through last 12 months. Short ranges chart by day, 90 days by week, and 12 months by month, and you can switch granularity where the range allows it.

How is engagement rate calculated for X posts?

AdaptlyPost calculates engagement rate as likes plus comments plus shares plus saves, divided by views, times 100. On X that means likes, replies, reposts, quotes and bookmarks over views.

Which X numbers can a Twitter analytics tool not see?

A Twitter analytics tool cannot see link clicks, profile clicks or video playback quartiles on X unless the author grants it a user token, and even then X returns them only for posts from the last 30 days. X files those fields under non-public metrics, which the X API non-public metrics guide covers field by field.

Two quirks of the X view counter carry into any tool that reads it. X counts views from logged-in accounts only and counts the same person twice if they open the post on web and on their phone. How does X compare with other networks in one dashboard?

The Platform Breakdown table puts X next to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads and Bluesky, with each network's engagement rate, total views and share of your total views for the selected range. LinkedIn analytics is waiting on LinkedIn's API approval, and posting to LinkedIn works as before.

The breakdown answers a question the X app cannot: whether X carries its weight. If X brings in 5% of your views while you post there every day, the table says so in one row.
