The absence of a daily number does not mean unlimited volume is safe. The RSS route is the one most people hit without noticing. Pinterest states: "As your RSS feed is updated, Pins will be created with a limit of up to 200 Pins per day." It also says "The oldest content on your RSS feed will be published first" and that new feed items are added "within 24 hours." Pinterest does not say what happens to feed items past the 200th on a given day, so a site that adds 500 images in one day has no documented schedule for the other 300.

The .csv route gives 200 with no time window attached and says nothing about how many uploads a day are allowed. The .txt route for video is the only one where Pinterest pairs 200 with "per day." Pinterest does not say whether the RSS and bulk allowances share one counter or run separately.

What is the Pinterest API limit for creating Pins?

Apps that create Pins through the Pinterest API work inside the org_write rate limit category, which covers "Creating, editing or deleting boards, board sections or Pins." Pinterest's rate limits reference sets that category at 300 requests per day per app on Trial access and 100 requests per minute per user per app on Standard access.

Two universal limits sit above the category limits: "Trial access: 1000 requests per day for all API requests" and "Standard access: 100 requests per second per user per app for all API requests." Pinterest also warns that "All rate limits are subject to change without notice."

The unit matters more than the number. A Trial app has one shared daily budget of 300 writes for every account it serves. A Standard app gets 100 writes a minute for each connected user.
