Hold Every Video in Two Drafts With a Manus Cue Connector for TikTok Posting

TikTok carries the largest config object in the AdaptlyPost API, twelve keys against eleven for YouTube and two for LinkedIn, which is why a Manus Cue connector for TikTok posting needs two brakes where Facebook or LinkedIn need one. Cue, the personal-agent app Manus launched on 28 September 2026, gives each agent "its own email, phone number, wallet, and computer" and, as of 29 September 2026, no approval gate that Manus has documented. A Manus Cue connector for TikTok posting is a custom MCP connector that gives a Cue agent the AdaptlyPost tools for uploading, drafting and scheduling TikTok videos to the account you connected in AdaptlyPost. The server is https://mcp.adaptlypost.com/mcp, and it accepts an Authorization: Bearer adaptly_... header.

Manus documents the server form for Manus: Settings, then Integrations, then Custom MCP Servers, then Add Server, with the URL and an API key or Bearer token. Cue is "built on the same infrastructure as Manus", yet Manus has not documented a connector screen in Cue as of 29 September 2026. One Cue detail matters more on TikTok than elsewhere. A Cue agent has its own email address and phone number, the two things a new social account asks for at sign-up. Keep publishing on the TikTok account you own and connected in AdaptlyPost, so every video lands where your followers already are.

Which TikTok fields should Cue never guess?

privacyLevel, aiGenerated, brandedContent and brandedContentOwnBrand are the four TikTok fields Cue never guesses, because each one decides who sees the video or what it discloses. TikTokPostConfig carries twelve keys in all, and privacyLevel is required alongside connectionId.

privacyLevel takes PUBLIC_TO_EVERYONE, MUTUAL_FOLLOW_FRIENDS, FOLLOWER_OF_CREATOR or SELF_ONLY, and the spec sets no default. A tiktokConfigs entry without it fails the schema with a 400 and creates nothing. aiGenerated is TikTok's AI content label, and a video a Cue agent assembled on its own computer is the case the flag exists for. What is the difference between saveAsDraft and sendAsDraft?

saveAsDraft keeps a post inside AdaptlyPost as an unpublished draft, while sendAsDraft publishes the video to your TikTok inbox as a TikTok draft instead of to your profile. The first stops Cue at your AdaptlyPost queue. The second stops the video at the TikTok app.

Used together they give TikTok the two-step review an agent with no approval gate needs. Cue saves the post with saveAsDraft: true at the top level and sendAsDraft: true in tiktokConfigs, under a Contributor key. You read the caption, check the privacy level and publish the draft from AdaptlyPost. The video then sits in your TikTok inbox, where you add a sound, pick a cover frame and post it by hand. The first reply is the test. A TikTok account name and id prove Cue sees the connector and the token works, before any video leaves the agent's computer.

How does a video get from Cue to TikTok?

A video reaches TikTok through AdaptlyPost's media upload: upload_media takes a public URL or base64 data, and get_upload_urls returns a presigned URL for a direct file upload. The resulting URL goes into mediaUrls on the draft.

Where the file starts decides which tool Cue uses. A clip already hosted at a public link goes through upload_media by URL. A clip the agent cut on its own computer needs the presigned upload. Manus has not documented, as of 29 September 2026, how files move on a Cue agent's computer or whether it uploads to an outside URL, so test with a short clip before a real one. A Contributor key includes upload rights, so this step works under the draft-only key.

Can Cue run a TikTok posting schedule?

AdaptlyPost excludes TikTok from recurring series, and Manus has documented no scheduling inside Cue as of 29 September 2026, so a TikTok schedule is built from individual dated posts. The spec says a recurrence "cannot be combined with saveAsDraft or TIKTOK."

What breaks on TikTok specifically?

A missing privacyLevel breaks first. A tiktokConfigs entry without it fails the schema with a 400 at request time, before any post exists. For a draft saved with saveAsDraft, AdaptlyPost defers validation to publish_draft, which fails if the TikTok entry still lacks privacyLevel. A caption written into title breaks second, because the 90-character cap fails validation. Both are cheap failures, since nothing reaches TikTok.

The third one looks like success. When TikTok's daily active-user cap is hit, AdaptlyPost delivers the video to your TikTok inbox as a draft instead of publishing it, and marks the platform entry with tiktokDraftFallback. A post Cue reports as published sits unposted in your inbox. Read list_post_results after every publish and check that flag.

The last one is the multi-network post. A video sent to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube in one request publishes per platform, and retry_failed_platforms retries only the failed TikTok entry.
