Import images, videos and documents from Google Drive
You don't have to download a file to your computer before you post it. Connect Google Drive once, then pick images, videos and documents from it while you write a post.
Connect Google Drive
- Open Integrations in the sidebar.
- Click Connect Google Drive and sign in with the Google account that holds your files.
- Allow AdaptlyPost to see the files you pick. The card then shows Connected with your Google email.
You can also connect straight from the composer. The first time you click Import from Google Drive, AdaptlyPost asks you to sign in.
The connection belongs to you, not to a workspace. It follows you into every workspace you work in, and teammates connect their own Drive.
Pick files in the composer
- Create a post and go to the content step.
- Click Import from Google Drive next to the upload area for images, a video or a document.
- Select one or more files in the Google Drive window and confirm.
AdaptlyPost copies each file into the post. Large videos can take a few minutes. A file still has to meet the limits of the platforms you post to, and AdaptlyPost tells you when one doesn't fit.
What AdaptlyPost can see
AdaptlyPost asks Google only for access to the files you pick. It can't list or open anything else in your Drive. Your original files stay in Drive untouched, because AdaptlyPost works from its own copy.
Disconnect
Open Integrations and click Disconnect on the Google Drive card. Files you already imported stay in your posts. You can also remove AdaptlyPost under Third-party apps & services in your Google account. AdaptlyPost asks you to connect again the next time you import.
If the Google window doesn't open
Your browser may be blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for AdaptlyPost and click Import from Google Drive again.
